Electrical supplier question

gyoung5718

Wonder if anyone can help clarify electrical supply to property in Spain.

Since purschased terrace house Central Málaga (approximately 14months ago) have had electricity supply organised by Spanish solicitors we used to purchase property.

Solicitors have directed us onto middle man (which I presume they get a kick back) to act as go between the property electrical supplier and ourselves.

Question I ask is it normal to go through a middle person than dealing with property electric supllier direct in Spain?

Thanksgiving for any help with this.

@gyoung5718

Hello

In theory all you need to do is contact the electricity provider. They need name of previous owner, your name, address, email, phone and NIE, bank details, a recent electricity bill, CUPS number of installation and - in some cases- property deeds. Just go through company's Atención al Cliente dept.

If however you do not have an individual meter, speak to the administrador of the comunidad de vecinos.

Thanks for that, very helpful.

@gyoung5718  Maybe top start with but it is so easy to do it all yourself. Also that way you get the tarrif you want as well.  You shoudl get a login from them and most of the compnaies have english speaking call centres
