gardening advice please

recently moved to Bucharest , just waiting to move into new house in balotesti , rather a large and empty garden ! I am a very keen gardener however I would like to know are there any shops /centers selling tree's and shrubs at reasonable prices , I am only renting and therefore wish to do the garden as a hobby and not a major investment . thankyou for any help

Hi

Try the big shops like Hornbach, (its a B&Q type shop) or Praktiker/Dedeman, these are all reasonable in terms of selection and price.

But if you more keen, and have a car of your own to use then head out on the road to Otopeni, and you will find loads of garden centers there, all on the side of the motorway bit past the airport, i dont know what they charge out there as i have never been to one, but there are alot there. I also have a couple not far from where i am in sector 5 there is a big garden center in Bragadiru on the outskirts of Bucharest, thats the Alexandria rd, its litteraly a few minutes outside the city limits by car, you cant miss it if get the right rd.
