MEO vs NOS

Rob DuBoux

We purchased our new apartment in Ferragudo in April. We went to Worten and set up internet and tv bundle with MEO. The MEO technician tried to install the service but couldn’t because the building was new and he needed another box out in the street.

I am still waiting for MEO to install the box. I know my other neighbors have NOS.

I only have experience with MEO. How’s NOS compared to MEO?

MEO vs NOS

Perpetual_traveler

I have NOS. I have never used MEO.

Good: My experience is that it is extremely reliable (Fibre box). It is fast. If you move AFTER 6 MONTHS, the move will be free.

Not so good: I am locked into a 2 year contract. Like many contracts in Portugal, they cannot be simply cancelled (either no cancellation clause, or very expensive cancellation fees). I have services that I do not use (bundled TV - not very good channels). This I take responsibility for as I agreed to it in the beginning and I just wanted service asap.

My contract is coming to its end. I will definitely check the market, now that I know more about how the system and services work.
