Hi

I have been working in Norway for quite a few years and never encountered this statement.  Honestly, I don't believe it. But I'm not 100%  sure so I recommend to contact the official authority or an international pension advisor.

But one thing is for sure: Even if you could retire after a few years your pension would be extremely low, maybe enough to buy a few sandwiches a month from it.
You only get paid out, what you paid in.....

Ole. That's the craziest thing I ever heard! No country in the world would let someone stay forever just because he or she had paid into a pension scheme for four years. Impossible!

It is possible though to get your time / entitlements (in regards to pension payements made in Norway)  recognised in another country.
