Visa facilitation and verification against eu law

Adem27

Hi All!

Me (Bulgarian living in the Netherlands) and my girlfriend (Turkish and currently in Turkey) are together for 3 months right now. We are planning to live together in the Netherlands.

Please correct me if I am wrong but to do that, what we already know that;

She has to apply for visa facilitation (C type Schengen) to travel to the Netherlands.

1-Am I considered as a family member with EU cizitenship (as an unmaried partner)?

2-Since we will apply for verification against EU law as soon as possible after she arrives to the Netherlands, does she need to state during visa application that she is planning to stay in the Netherlands by applying verification against EU law? If so, she doesn’t need to provide any proof for returning (e.g. returning ticket), right?

We are planning to gather as much evidence as possible to support her visa application, since we need them later for verification against EU law, also.

We kindly seek instructive guidance from those who are experienced and willing to assist.

Thanks in advance,

Kind regards,

The Dutch immigration site has on gaining a residence permit for your partner. I hope this helps!

Just to add to the information previously provided, there are special rules for Turkish citizens in the EU; the IND website has a section on this; this will take you straight to it.
