Hi I would check around your house first to see if there are any phone lines near your house or if any of your neighbours have a phone line either overhead or underground .The next thing you can do is call into the companies that provide internet services and phone services and ask them do they have cables running near your house and they will tell you what you gave to pay for the internet services.Most of the internet service providers do a summer package or they also give you a cheap rate normally half price for the months that you do not use it.
