Hi everyone! How long have you lived in Montenegro and what area do you live in? We live in the US and my husband and I are of retirement age. We are looking for a peaceful place to live where the air, water and soil are clean and where we can have access to organic foods and healthy lifestyle. We also want to live somewhere that is safe and friendly. We are also Catholic and need to know what areas of the country we can attend a Mass service on Sundays. I was doing a search and found a couple of Catholic Churches but have been unsuccessful with finding out exactly where there are Masses and what time they have them. We prefer not to live really in really hot weather. We are fortunate to currently live in an area of the US that does not have natural disasters. Do you ever experience any weather of concern or earthquakes, etc? Do you have an international airport there? - @kathy4lucas
Hey Kathy,
I have been living in this beautiful country for almost 17 years now
Living usually in Tivat, but I have started to spend summers in the mountains, less than 2 hours away from the coast, to get fresh air in the summer, while still being close to the coast.
You have plenty of Catholic churches, people are pretty religious here, so you will not have any issues finding masses on sundays in many areas.
Montenegro has 2 international airports (in Tivat on the coast and in Podgorica the capital city). There are no weather concerns. There are occasional earthquakes but nothing to be worried about.
Cheers!
