Hello Everyone,

I'm already in Budapest,

I'm here for work but after the working time it boring for me..
So I would like to make new friends

These things take time.
My son just moved to Japan with his wife.
She is working full time but for now he is mostly hanging around.
We encouraged him to join the swim club in town and to take more walks around.
He has made friends with a few shop keepers where he buys his organic veggies.
He speaks some Japanese but it's always different when you are actually in country, you realize you don't know as much as you thought you did.
Perhaps if you like some of your co-workers you can set up a time to meet up after work or join some sort of sports club to meet others.
Maybe you could look into some sort of Hungarian language course after work hours, can meet people in the same boat as you plus learn some Hungarian . Best of luck.

I'm sure they have those apps, I'm not even a user of a cell phone.
No idea really.
They have a FB group for HU ex-pats on FB if you look into it they may have a personal page where people can meet up etc.

What about your co-workers?

I often go to places where I don't know anyone as I get parachuted in for a certain job.  Sometimes I'm on my own and other times I'm with a team.  What I do is plan out my time and take advantage of the opportunities for tourism - I'm probably off on an intensive job in September far far away (where the little pigs are digging*) and I'm already planning my tourism and weekend travel.

One of my colleagues came here and had an interest in railways - so he spent some free time and weekends studying the metro system, making it a goal to travel on every tram line and visit the rail museums over the country.  Might seem a waste of time but there are many other things here like that.

Depends on your interests and depends on you too!

* it's a joke - sort of - ask a Hungarian what it means...

Another thing to remember is in general most , not all but most Hungarians are a bit reserved. It takes time for them to open up to strangers.
They may be more shy then you think they are.

There's a facebook group for indian expats in budapest, you could try to organise meetups (or they probably already have some kind of events):

How about the logical solution? Enroll in a hungarian language course. You can meet other foreign students there, and when you know enough hungarian, you will be able to converse with us.
