We imported our Fiat Ducato Globecar Possl from the UK last year. We first obtained the Household Effects Certificate, and we found an import agent at our local Port to help us. A lot of work involved, but worth it. I think it helped that the vehicle was originally built in the eu and is LHD. Your vehicle must be minimum Euro 4 to comply. Here's the link about the Household Effects Certificate:

If you don't qualify for the certificate, you will pay tax & VAT. Best to email the V5 to an import agent asking them to advise the estimated cost.
