Hoping for a New Life

Lady Mondegreen

Good day to you all,

I am currently living/renting in Hampshire (UK) and at 63 now hoping to retire somewhere warm and sunny. I was brought up in Africa and feeling so heartily sick of the awful wet weather we have here.

I am thinking of somewhere in the Peleponnese area or other mainland rather than an island and with that in mind, will be considering coming out this winter for a bit of a "recci."  Are there any B&Bs etc. that anyone can recommend, hopefully in the Peleponnese?

Kind regards.

I haven’t actually stayed here, but a friend whose judgment I trust highly recommends a placed in Ancient Episauros called Sunny Garden:  sunnygarden.gr . The name seems apporopriate to what you’re looking for. smile.png Good luck!

Where in Peloponnesos did you have in mind?  It is vast and incredible!  I love the less developed but still quite vibrant corridor from Sparta to Gythio.  It is littered with awesome airbnbs!  I am currently in Aeriopoli with a person looking at the area, and we are staying at the lovely Hotel Aeriopolis.  If you value living in closer connection with neighbors and living more sustainably, you might enjoy learning about our Greek Village Cohousing communities.  Check out our website because what we have is very special.  Also, check out the 'Peloponnese Living" Facebook page as well- very helpful people.
