Sprachkurs Visa to Working Visa

GuestPoster122

Hello! I am attending a language course here in Bielefeld and living under a Sprachkurs visa. How possible is it that I can apply for work? I know that I have to go back to change my visa but I also need to get a contract from anyone hereto be able to come back. It is confusing me since it says work is not allowed but how do I come back if I'm not allowed to apply? Can I get a residence permit for thetime I'm looking for a job?

You cannot WORK with a language course visa, but you can of course apply for jobs.

Please note that most companies are looking for people who already have permission to work here.

You can apply for an FSJ in any of your nearby hospitals and after completing it you will easily get an ausbildung. Thus you can qualify for a work visa.

@lalu lorance thank you for your reply. What is FSJ btw?

Kind of a nonsensical strategy for most although theoretically possible. This is for people desperate to stay in Germany at any cost. A FSJ is a volunteer year where one works for free. And to do an Ausbildung (vocational training) later one has to have a B2 level of German.
