Job Seeker Visa

Suresh Kumar49

I have 3.5 years of work experience as a quality engineer and I have left this job 6 months before to do Certification courses thats helps me enhance my skills to make getting job in germany  easier. I have also completed german language course A1 during that period. I have also got email from germany employer saying that they will arrange interview after getting job seeker visa. I have added that info to my cover letter too. I also have sponsor letter by german resident for accommodation and food.

My question is my unemployment during Job seeker visa application affect visa decision?

what is the success rate of my application with above details?

Of course one is unemployed when they go on a job seeker visa. The whole point is to look for employment. But the question is if the extra effort, time and cost is worth it. To  line up just 1 interview is not sensible. One should have fully researched who the potential employers are and lined up multiple interview. But these days one can find jobs online and often save the trouble of such a job search altogether. And A1 is just the beginner's level, For the vast majority of jobs on will need at least a B1 or B2 level.

thanks for the reply.

I understand but my question is about the chance of getting job seeker visa. I have left job 6 months back and still have not received appointment for visa . During the time for visa application I may be unemployed for around 8 months. But during the 8 months I have done some certifications and language courses that helps enhance my skills.

So my question is does this unemployment of 8 months during visa interview affect the visa decision?

Because some visa consultant told me that long gap of unemployment affect visa decision.

So anyone  who has idea about this please reply.

Job seeker visas are only given to people with high qualifications and a good chance to actually be able to get a job. But language skills are almost always a factor. Some specific jobs in IT or certain types of engineering might be the exception to the rule that one needs a high level of German. Who should know better than you about your specific field? And unless your skills fit to such a job, then you will have little chance. You are asking people to make a statistical analysis without providing the needed numbers to do so. One can't really make more than generalizations.

Long term unemployment suggests that one isn't offering highly demanded skills. But 6 or 8 months are not really long term in such a context; so not likely significant. Such a period of unemployment is minor compared to the lack of better German certification. Even if a job without good German might be possible in your field; the likelihood of employment would definitely increase by having something like a B2 level.

Hi,

I am a Automotive Engineer with 3.5 years of work experience in Quality Assurance. Since last 6 months, I have applied for lot of english jobs in germany but unfortunately, i did not get any interview call so far.

I followed the following steps  so far

1.Connect through LinkedIn.

2.CV and Cover letter as per Europe format from Europass website.

3.Included my Certification and Recommendation letter from my previous employer.

So, anyone could suggest strategies that works for seeking attention from the employer for scheduling the interview.

Thanks in advance.

@Suresh Kumar49 It is not clear from your post whether your education or work eyperience in QA gave you any skills that are rare enough here to induce a company to hire a foreigner (despite the additional effort and risk this involves).

Also, we cannot assess how well you are able to present yourself and convince a hiring manager that hiring you would be the best option from his/her viewpoint.

But certainly your lack of language skills (you mentioned A1 level German and looking for English jobs only) is a hindrance. So you may want to improve on that first!

Just out of curiosity: How many jobs did you apply for in these six months, and how did you find them?

@Suresh Kumar49 You also have to remember any future employer has to prove that they are unable to fill the job from a German citizen and then an EU citizen that does not need a visa.
