Applying for a carte de sejour

Gsmu

Hi everyone, I've tried applying for the carte de sejour using the online post brexit form, but I'm blocked from completing it because I haven't joined up with the job centre. The only issue is that when I try to join the job centre, I'm blocked because I need the number of a valid carte de sejour. Is anyone else going through the same loop? I've tried calling up my pole emploi who tell me I need to talk to the prefecture, and the prefecture tells me to fill out the online form. Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed? Been in the country less than 5 years but before the cutoff date of 31/12/20

Thanks in advance

I don't understand why you need those things. It took me 20 mins to apply . If you haven't got a previous carte de sejour then use your passport number maybe? Why do you need to apply via the job centre?

Because on the application form for the carte de sejour it says I need to upload proof of having joined the job centre in the last 3 months. If I don't upload the document, it won't let me proceed to the next page of the application.

If you don't mind me asking, what was your situation before applying? Did you already have the carte de sejour?

No, nothing previous lived in France just over a year. I'm just wondering if your on the right form. Are you applying as a job seeker then?
