Firearms in France

GuestPoster2204

I'm an avid hunter and sportsman. I might go to France for a while and I'm aware that it is not a gun-friendly place. I know that a US citizen can go to France and bring his/her shotgun/rifle that must be one of the authorized gun in France for the purpose of hunting. There's a procedure to declare and transport it for your hunting trip.
But if you go there to live for a while, is there a similar procedure if you plan on hunting once in a while?

I'm not sure myself, but there's a Gun Ownership in France guide on this site. Hopefully that will help you out.

Er, why not? He's just another President. He might be good, he might be bad. I don't get it.
