Renew a BRP expiring

Khaleed1989

Hello ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ Family.
I’m just confused as I wanted to prepare in advance for my next move to remain in England.
Well Im Moroccan and married to British citizen. I moved to England 23th December 2017 on a spouse visa ( with a visa sticker on my passport) then I got a BRP which has an expiring date of middle September 2020. So I stayed almost 2 years in England but I don’t know what to do next? And which route I’m on, is it 2ans half years route or 3 years ? Why my BRP expiring September2020? I don’t know really and seeking help.
Please let me know which route I’m on and what to do to extend or renew and how to do it ? And is it possible to apply in advance ?
Thank you all

If u haven’t already found the answers u were looking for here they are -

You are on the initial Spouse Settlement Visa, at Entry Clearance stage, (the first application), you will be on a 5 year route to settlement, (10 year routes are not applicable for EC applications).

The initial visa is a period of 33 months.

Ur next application will be for Further Leave to Remain - Married (FLRM).
You can apply for ur FLRM 30 months after ur arrival to UK and no later than 28 days of ur BRP expiry date.

So the earliest date u can apply is 30 June 2020 and the latest u can apply is 28 consecutive days prior to the expiry date on ur BRP.

Do not apply before 30 June 2020 because if ur application is successful and ur next BRP is granted early u will get to ILR stage and u will have a shortfall of days and hence will not be allowed to settle at 5 years, you would have to do another FLR - so just be aware of that, it’s a mistake I’ve seen before more than once.

If u want an example document list just let me know and I can add one to this post for u

Good luck with it all
