Covid and arrival to cyprus from EU Countries

Mariekeys

Hello,

My name is Marieke and together with my husband and infant son I would like to come to Cyprus in January. My husband and I are considering a move to the island and therefore would like to discover some of the options in terms of jobs and housing.

We have found recent covid-regulations that state we need a negative test upon arrival(we travel from Germany or the Netherlands) . Now is my question: does anyone here know if babies under a year do need a test as well? We can't seem to find the answer online, but hope someone else knows a legal source that can help us out!

Thanks in advance!

Currently only Cypriot nationals and legitimate residents can enter Cyprus. Who knows when this will change?

Children under 12 do not need a test currently

Netherlands is in cat c so travel here is not permitted until they are in a lower category. Germany for some strange reason is still in cat b... in both cases travel here is not permitted until Cyprus makes the decision to allow travel here as I said earlier only Cypriots and legal residents are allowed to enter

Hello Toon,

Thank you for your response, for some reason I did not get any notification and only see it now! We have arrived from Germany, and needed to do a laboratory-coronatest before the flight.
Thanks again,

Marieke
