Good morning all, I visited Sunny Beach at least June and liked it very much. Considering the cost of the apartments, I really want to invest there to possibly make a little capital gain by selling in a few years but above all to have a little pied-脿-terre where my parents could come and spend a little time during their retirement. I would like to be able to rent it in the summer for a few weeks but when I see the number of apartments available for rent, I get a little worried. I would like to hear from people who have taken the plunge, please. Whether or not you regret your investment? If by reselling, it was not at a loss, etc .... Also know the amount of charges (water, electricity .....) for a second home. Thanks for your advices. Audrey.

Audrey, I hope you can find somewhere suitable!
I don't have an apartment in Sunny Beach, but I have heard that there can be problems in maintenance. Even in the estate agent photos one glimpses uncared for swimming pools that can't be used!
The issue is that the package tour holiday companies will only do their bulk bookings on newer apartment buildings, so there are more being built all the time, which can lead to an oversupply of apartments.
I think there are forum members with Sunny Beach properties, so I have someone with real experience will reply. You may get a better response if you change the heading to "Buying an apartment in Sunny Beach", so they see it.

Sunny beach is not the only seaside resort in Bulgaria, and in my opinion not quite suitable for elderly people to live in. It is primarily youth resort, with lots of fun, attractions, loud music bars, discos, etc ...

Also it is not quite sure if you'd be able to sell it later, for the same amount of money.

It is a good idea to search the surrounding resorts, within some 50 km. distance.
