Best places to live in Bulgaria

magicalme

@MeAndHim  We live near the  Aleksandr Stambolijski (Александър Стамболийски) Dam. Fishing, swimming, boating etc is allowed in the dam. Our village is Mladen. Great Mayor and lovely locals who welcomed us. We do our shopping in Sevlievo (19 kms ) and sometimes we go to Veliko Tarnovo or Gabrovo.  Village bus runs 3 times a day to Sevlievo, and buses run to VT, Sofia, Gabrovo and other bigger centres. We're half an hour's drive from Pavlekeni, where you can get a train to Sofia - great trip, through stunning scenery.  We're kinda in the northern middle area of Bulgaria. Very pretty and there are heap of small villages around here. Some still have affordable, fixer-upper houses for a decent price. We're from Australia and love it here.

Wow that's quite a move in miles that's for sure .. sounds a bit like the iskar river/lake up in the Rila mountains .. I expect there are also many restaurants on the lake also.

How long have you been in BG .

We were  due to move  in August but delayed awaiting pension letter for the residence permit .
