Reference start date - unlimited single permit

math7612

Hi, I’ve looked thoroughly on the forum but couldn’t reach a clear conclusion. That’s why I’d like to ask friends who have previously applied for the unlimited single permit.

We have two start dates for the application to count 4 years: the date the Regional Approval (work permit) was issued and the date we actually started working.

When I asked the immigration office, they told me it’s the date you were registered in the Belgian social security system. I couldn’t figure out which date this corresponds to.

Does anyone know?

Regards,

Hi,

  1. With a card reader connected pc , insert your ID card to card reader.
  2. Log in to
  3. Enter your pin code when asked and browse Mon Dossier/Mijn Dossier
  4. Mijn gegevens-Mes données/ Identitietbewijs-Titre de identité
  5. Slide the page farthest right via arrow and there you will see your first issued document Bijlage-Annexe 49

Note this date and make calculations for further processes accordingly.

If you have your first annex49 from municipality you dont need to bother all above process.

Good luck

Hi, I asked the same question to the SPW and they told me that they literally count the days we actively worked.

If you apply with 2-3 weeks before completing your 4 years or have some inactive days in your 4 years, they wait for these weeks and then they approve. However, if you apply for some months before completing, they don’t accept and tell you the date you can apply.

I had this information from one person, so it is always good to confirm. Hope it helps.
