is it true that once you move to another company in Belgium, you can't maintain your special tax status anymore?

Hello, I was told by a tax advisor that if you are recruited by a new company while you are in Belgium, then yes, you will lose your special tax status. However, if for example you go back to your home country or another country and are recruited by another Belgian company, then you can reapply for the special status. Perhaps others have more details on this.
