Job opportunity for a non EU resident belgium in luxumberg

Vaddy

Hi I recently moved to Brussels as a consultant, I was supposed to take a contract with a client due to delay in processing the visa and travel restrictions I could travel after 6 months only. My employer has given me an offer to work in luxumberg for 6 months. I'm not sure if I am authorized to work in luxumberg with belgium single permit , can any one suggest what I should do, should I wait for new opportunity in belgium by negotiating with my employer or should I take the luxumberg offer if there is no complication on working in luxumberg with a Belgian residence, kindly advise. Also if any of you can suggest a good immigarion lawyer who can legally advise it would really help, thanks

Hello,

Indeed, with a work permit from a EU country, you can't work "like that" in another. Your employer has to ask a work permit request to Lux work authorities

if it possible to check possibility of WFH as in current situations from Belgium itself, I dont think physical presence would be required in Luxembourg atleast for next 3 months.

Not sure if that would be allowed, Take expert advice for compliance legality.

Where to work is not a problem here but all the administration such as tax declaration, social security etc.

I don't think it's possible since a Belgian work permit is strictly tied to a specific employer in Belgium.

The rule may have been changed but a couple of years ago, even you work as a consultant, your client will be mentioned clearly in the work permit.
