Citizenship got approved - meanwhile UK work visit possible?

Dear members,

I am a non-EU working in Brussels for last 6 years.

Today I got my citizenship approval email from 1000 Brussels.

A question now please:

I have a work visit planned to UK on 20/10/2025 for 3 days.

I am at this moment Indian passport holder and about to start UK visa application.

Not sure which path to follow now,

As the citizenship is approved does my L card become invalid right away?
Commune asked to schedule appointment to request new ID card, but the earliest date I see is on 27/10/2025. So I can still travel with my current L card to UK?
We should apply the new ID card & Belgium passport separately? I know new ID card we can request urgent process, also same can be done for Passport? Can both be applied on same day?

Just to make it clear, ID cards don't work in the UK for travel, unlike other European countries.

Indeed.

With Belgium passport, I can apply for UK ETA which costs 拢16 and valid for 2 years.(..first should get new Belgian ID card for this and no commune appointment until 27/11/2025)

With Indian passport, its visit visa which costs 拢127 with 6 months validity.(.. Current L card should remain valid to return to Belgium).

No, if you are out of territory then you can enter with your L card even certificates non valid.

Without visa NO. L card doesnt let you enter the United Kingdom without visa.
