Dear All,
I had applied for an L card, and as per my Annex 16, I have an appointment in commune in mid of July.

I have to travel abroad in July for 3 weeks and will be back in Belgium by 30th July. I called commune and got my appointment rescheduled to 31st Jul. I had asked them the below questions, but they had no answers.

Question:

In case my L card application is successful by mid of July, will I be able to enter Belgium in July end? I am a bit concerned as some say if L card is approved, they cancel the A card. In that case, I may face issue with immigration.
In case of L card rejection, how soon do they notify? Is the notification via email?

Hello, what exactly happened in your case? Did you cancel your travel plans, or did everything go well?

I’m asking because I’m currently in the same situation and trying to find an answer.

I have applied for nationality, and it will take about 4 months to be processed. We are planning to travel to India for a family function during the 4th month. If the nationality is granted while we are away, how can we return to Belgium with our current L cards?

There was no problem returning back.
