Hiba Fathima P. S

Hai, Members

I am Sathar Parackal from India. I came to Croatia on D type visa and took temporary residence card .  The Croatian company that brought it is carrying out work in the Netherlands and Belgium.  There i got a Belgium employer and got a Belgium work permit and annex 46.I have rented an apartment in Antwerpen area  and can i get residence card if i register at that address or should i go back to india and come with D visa. Give your valuable advice.

Your question was already answered directly.

Usually non-EU citizens, (who are not holding European permanent residence card), need to apply for a Visa D, to move to a EU country for work. You can apply for this visa based on the work permit your employer already secured for you.

As you are a resident of Croatia, you can apply in Belgian consulate in Croatia for this visa. Once you get the visa, you can enter Belgium (no need to go back to home country) and register in the municipality / gemeente / commune where you chose to live in Belgium.

As you intend to live in Antwerpen, you can write to the geemeentehuis of Antwerpen for an official answer.

@Aneesh, I have applied for work permit at Indian address.  Similarly, it is mentioned in Annex 46 to submited the Mumbai & Delhi Consulate, so can I apply at the Croatian Consulate?  Looking forward to your valuable reply. Thank you

Aneesh

Well, you should have applied for work permit at your croatian address because you are a resident in Croatia. Now that the anexxe 46 is sent to consulates in India, you may have to go back to India to apply there.

You can still ask the consulate of Belgium in Zagreb if there is any possibility for you to apply there.
