Visiting Panama

Thinking of visiting Panama in late January for the first time and was hoping for input as to where to book. I'd like ocean, nightlife.. ability for "some" touristy stuff like tours but also the ability to explore on our own and be reasonably safe.聽 More looking for ideas as to what city or town but if you also have a favorite resort or Air BNB to suggest I'd give either a look. I'd also like to check out an expat scene while there so probably not looking for anything too far off the beaten path. Peace and thanks y'all.

Coronado area? Bocas del Toro? Boquete, though that is in the mountains, not near the ocean. Oh, and Pedasi, small town but known for beautiful beaches nearby.
