Paying duty

ayclin

HI my name is Louis. I'm looking for some insight to moving to Cuba. When you become a resident and moving there. I know you are allowed to bring things from where you are moving from to Cuba,  eg: car fridge, stove, etc. I would like to know if there is a dollar amount and what are the duty you would have to pay especially on your car. Thank you.

I believe there are still US sanctions against Cuba, and that might well be an issue as far as taking a car over there is concerned.
You might also want to check availability of suitable fuel as I understand many of their cars are very old, and that could mean they're still using leaded petrol.
This, I hasten to add, is just a guess but it might be worth a thought.
