Hi ! I recently, over this past year, moved to Belize from Texas. These are just personal observations and I could be way off. But its my honest thoughts. The first place I went to in Belize was Caye Caulker, absolutely loved it and still do. Rented an apartment there and started looking for a place to buy.But I was never able to swing a deal, be sure you check into banking regulations here, you can't get a mortgage for the most part. And everything is more expensive on the islands. So you might want to check out San Ignacio over by the western border with Guatemala, nice little town that I really like to visit. There are more/better places for shopping andf lots of outside attractions. And it's fairly cheap there. Then there's Punta Gorda where I eventually bought my land, but it's definitely not for everybody. And I think the other 2 places are overall better places to live. It's just that I found a piece of land outside of town in the jungle that I totally fell in love with. Punta Gorda is a backwater kind of place, it has it's charms but has drawbacks as well. but I do want to add that I'm very happy with my move here

It really depends on your tastes and budget and how much time will spend there. If you're there from September-November, you should have time to move around a bit & spend time in most of the districts.

Belize is a small and diverse country. It has lots of culture including Mayan and Garifuna with communities of expats(immigrants).

You can experience beach, island, mountain, and jungle life and a more metropolitan life in Belize City.

I'd suggest spending time in the areas you're considering moving to, but pay a visit to other areas as well. Sometimes resident and tourist life don't equate.

I suggest checking out wheretonexxt on YouTube. They give a good perspective on living in Belize, not just the pie in the sky Central American dream that many others discuss. They're also pretty responsive to emails.

I'd also suggest looking at some of the YouTube videos from people selling property. They're salespeople, but they can offer good info that you should verify and research for yourself, but it might help you some.

Good Fortunes To You!
