Volunteer Work in Nha Trang?

Leo 46

One of the things we'd like to get involved in after we move to NT next year is doing some kind of volunteer work.  Neither my wife nor I has any special technical skills or training (e.g., in agriculture, mechanics, medicine), but surely there most be some opportunities, for example, in helping Vietnamese kids and/or adults learn English.

There are housing construction charities all over VietNam who welcome grunt as well as technical labour.

Orphanages always welcome visitors who interact with the children. Some of them are supporting Agent Orange victims and their children.

BE AWARE OF CHARITIES who charge you to help. Especially a bunch of thieves from New Zealand. ONLY VOLUNTEER TIME - DO **NOT** DONATE MONEY!

If you work at a housing charity you should expect free basic housing at ZERO cost (I work with a couple of these charities in DakLak). I specialise in electrical and plumbing assistance. Make sure the charity, if you so choose, makes the beneficiaries (people) help with the work.

Anyone can drink trenches or haul materials.

Thank you, Jaitch. Appreciate the ideas.
