All depend son what your applying for?

But certainly it has a high success rate for teaching. It's the most effective method according to my friends.

MNLgirl

Thank you for the welcome. :)

Hi laidbackfreak, sadly teaching is not my field of expertise. I have a background in marketing communications so I'm hoping I could land an office job in HCMC. I'll be arriving next week and shall start my jobhunt as soon as possible.

Any thoughts?

Hi MNLgirl. Nice to meet you. Can we become friend?

Good thing you are not trying in Singapore. Currently, a strong movement to kick most Philipinos out as they are taking away too many jobs from local Singaporeans!  Also, Pinoy HR managers seem to favor their own kind and locals are discriminated and thus extremely unhappy about that..

Hello again! I just arrived here in HCMC. I'm staying at District 1.

Anyway, thanks so much for the info kmtanmd. Were you able to land a job here during your stay?

Sploke77, that's the exact reason why I didn't try it out in Singapore. I used to work for a Singapore based social media monitoring company while in Manila and this issue with expats in there in just hot topic.
