Moving to Da Nang in November – Looking for tips & connections

mathildethomann14

Hi everyone,

My boyfriend and I are moving to Da Nang at the end of November, and we’re looking for a bit of advice to get started.

Any tips on nice neighborhoods to live in (close to the beach, cafes, restaurants…)?

Also, where do people usually go to meet other expats or locals? Any events or groups you’d recommend?

Thanks in advance for your help —

would love to meet some of you once we’re there! 🙂

Hello mathildethomann14  (Mathilde). Very nice to have you with us.

Congratulations on your upcoming move! Only ~4 months left before your big departure date! Have either of you been to Vietnam before? It truly is a place like no other.

Would you give us just a little more information regarding your relocating here (i.e. long/short stay, immigration visa status, rental budget, employment situation/location, etc)? Knowing this would give our members who live in Danang a little more to work with.

I've only visited Danang, having never lived there, so I'm sorry I can't personally give you any specific recommendations.
