Mobile spam in Vietnam?

bmatic

Hi,
Ever since having my iPhone unlocked and a new Vietnamese SIM installed I have been flooded with SMS spam in VieTnames. This seems to wear my batter out too - my mobile now needs charging after 3 hours not 3 days!

Any advice welcome - thank you!

try this :-
it is, in the menus : SuperSim > LiveInfo > Kich hoat > Tat dich vu Then you should receive a text message saying (in vietnamese of course) that you won't receive LiveInfo anymore. That's it ! If you're still receiving something, you may try LiveInfo > Am bao > Tat am bao, though I'm not sure this one actually changes anything.

Thanks but cannot see a SuperSim option in Settings or  other places!? Had Cydia installed without me knowing it - part of the unlocking process. Not sure if this is a factor.

Thanks v much

Mobiphone, a subsidiary of Vinafone, both have service centres on Nguyen Du @ Hai Ba Trung in Q1 (behind the Post Office which is opposite the Notre Dame Cathedral).

The Mobiphone office is sandwiched between two Vinafone offices.

Mobiphone is the service for younger users and they are always experimenting with new 'features'.

If they are not the ones spamming you, they will be happy to investigate.

Both are legal iThingy dealers.

If you want them to stop sending you 090 smses too, send a message "TC" to 9241 & they will stop it after 1 day of receiving your sms.  I think they also sold our personal data to 3rd parties & if you want that stop too, you will need to get a Vietnamese to help you call them up & ask them to remove them 1 by 1.
