After having visited twice, I am trying to move to Vietnam, though I do not feel comfortable with teaching ESL as of yet.  My background is over 10 years of IT support in various areas, just not programming, complete with a degree.  I've largely worked in K-12 schools with some MSP work.

I'm on ITViec and Flexjobs, but nothing so far.

Is anyone aware of any international companies hiring for something like remote IT support?  I'll even take some other remote work that I could confidently do as long as it paid the bills there.  I've seen/applied to postings from companies that come from SKorea, USA, and Singapore, but I'm assuming I'm being overlooked immediately due to my address not being in Vietnam at the moment?  I'd consider in-office work for the right job.

Just curious if I'm missing some glaring options/information here.

I have a few friends over in Vietnam (locals), and the job market where I currently am has not been producing options.

I'm thinking maybe I should do a 3-month stay, put the local address of my apartment down when applying, and hope for the best?

Maybe I could take Vietnamese classes while I'm there.  I hear networking in HCMC/DaNang could also help, but I wouldn't really know exactly where to find these people who would be interested, much less how to start that conversation.

I understand they have to hire Vietnamese first.
