Hello LEVENKOVAvi. Welcome to the expat.com Vietnam forum.

Thank you for your PM, and for opening this new topic.

You didn't mention your intended length of stay in Phu Quoc.

From Google AI:

Foreigners can visit Phu Quoc without a visa for up to 30 days, provided they meet specific conditions: they must enter and depart directly from Phu Quoc by air or sea, have a passport valid for at least six months, and show proof of onward travel. This visa-free policy applies only to visits to Phu Quoc, and if you plan to travel to other parts of Vietnam, you will need to obtain a Vietnam visa beforehand.

That mention of "proof of onward travel" is not, as far as I am aware, a policy of VN immigration. It might certainly be the policy of your air carrier, hence it would be a good idea to check with them as to whether the airline might require it.

Feel free to ask any additional questions you might have and again, welcome to the forum.

Thank you , yes we gonna land in Pho Quoc , and then planing go to Nha Trang for couple of days then back to Island , because from my city only direct flight to Pho Quoc available , so what I need to do in this case ?

I hope you have a great success obtaining your visa, however, because you list yourself as "Kazakhstani citizen", I would recommend that you start working with a Visa agent.

Aidan is an outstanding source of information and extremely helpful, but there comes a point when you need an agent who has a relationship with immigration and can contact them to find out why you are being delayed.

We don't know exactly why and it's not publicly acknowledged by the government, but it seems that certain nations are considered to be more risky than others to the Vietnamese government.

A Visa agent can help cut through this problem if it's just a technical error.

If it's not a technical error and the government is restricting passport holders from your nation, your Visa agent can still assist you in getting something called a visa on arrival, which is usually only good for a maximum of 21 days.

I wish I had more encouraging information for you, but at this point the intervention of a qualified and respected agent is highly recommended

Okay, understood.

In order for you to be permitted to leave Phu Quoc Island and travel to mainland Vietnam, a tourist visa will be necessary.

As stated by OceanBeach92107, eVisa applications from citizens of many countries are having their applications subjected to enhanced scrutiny. I agree with his suggestion that you use the services of a local Vietnam visa agent. If you'd like, I can send you the contact details of a trusted and proven agent who has helped many other members of the expat.com Vietnam forum.

Of course you always have the option to continue resubmitting your amended application to VN immigration, but this might be prohibitive, time-wise. Some members have reported submitting their amended application up to 15 times(!).

Note: no members of expat.com have a financial interest in referring travellers/tourists/expats to an agent. We do so only in an effort to help fellow members.
