Hi guys. Been awhile since I鈥檝e done this. Going to visit Saigon for a few days in July. Filling out online evisa request. The photo accuracy is about 81% when it compares a recent photo image to that in my passport. Have people had their evisa rejected because of this? I am leaving on bus from Phnom Penh to Saigon mid July.

The most common problem I've personally encountered when voluntarily assisting foreigners with their new e-visas (after entering Vietnam on an initial e-visa) has been the rejection of a copy of the passport photo as the current photo required.

Now we will probably have a dozen people post and say they never had a problem just copying their passport photo blah blah blah blah blah.

I can only tell you that when foreigners come to me with a problem having their application accepted and I actually take a photograph of them and then the application has always been approved.

Other people get themselves in trouble by trying to beautify their photo.

Best to just use the raw photo without any editing, unless the background needs to be lightened.

Thanks OB!聽 Now if I were just going to Da Nang and Hanoi be like old times.聽 Hopefully October or November for Hanoi. Friends there told me how it鈥檚 kinda warm there. Here in Siem Reap it鈥檚 rainy season but last few days have been beautiful.

Can鈥檛 wait to see a few friends in Saigon and one coming up from can tho. Gonna be nice.

81% is a decent match. I think you'll be good to go.

Nice to see you've started the application process with plenty of time left before your expected arrival date. If you submit the application today, you can expect a response from immigration ~23rd June.
