TDAC arrival card

Richard Bierdrager

I came to Thailand with my parents at the age of 3. I have all the necessary documents for permanent residence, including a work permit. I haven't traveled for a while, therefore, I need to complete a TDAC arrival card online. The problem I am getting is the "country of residence" section, which does not accept Thailand. Thailand has been my country of residence since 3 years old.

Has anyone experienced this situation? Please let me know.

From my understanding the arrival card is for tourists and you explained  that you are not a tourist but a resident.

Richard Bierdrager

Thank you for your reply. I still need to fill out the TDAC arrival card because I hold an EU passport, but I also have an extra book, a residency of Thailand book.

I would check with the clsoest local Thai embassy and ask them to advise. Hopefully, the TDAC card is not needed. I have a Thai visa and my residence is Thailand so I would be in a similar situation if I return from abroad.

Okay, so I will need to complete one of these arrival cards if I travel abroad. In my case my country of residence would be the same as the passport I hold. If you are going to use your EU passport than whatever country your from you would select. If your Thai passport is not expired I would expect you would use that instead. Still recommend checking with the embassy. Safe travels!

@Richard Bierdrager

Did you get the recidency and citizenship from the related Ministery in Thailand or are you just registered at the Amphoe with a yellow book?

And do you apply for Visa and Stay permit yearly at the Immigration?

Cause this case is not an official thai residency with a blue id card but just a domicile with a thai address and a pink id.

And so by country of residency you should understand = to Country of origin.

Then in the section of visa you will write what kind do you have and it's number, which will categorize you as a foreign citizen living permanently in Thailand.

Be careful.

This is the TDAC site.:

Thailand is on the list for residence. It's listed as The Republic of Thailand, iirc. Just type in "THA"

You'll have to enter a Thai address with district, subdistrict.

It's goofy how they have countries listed by adding "the Republic of"

When I arrived tonight at BKK, it wasn't scanned. And the immigration officer only glanced at it.

The link is under review? How long does THAT take? The official Thai immigration website is immigration go th Google it.

If you go to a website and it's asking you to pay, it's a fake site. Tdac form online is free.

immigrationDOTgoDOTth  ? I don't believe that this is the official TDAC gov't web portal. It looks more like that of a visa agency's.
