Western Union doesn't allow transferring from Sri Lanka to USA. You need a bank to bank transfer. Else, if you have a debit card and PayPal, you can transfer it to the person in US. Whats the purpose, amount, whether you have a RFC account, share the details here.

ok there is another way to transfer go to nations Trust Bank and do the transfer

as far I found out:
you still need approval from Exchange regulation to send money abroad.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I struggle a long time to send money back to Europe.
If you have a suggestion how to do it, I will be really happy.

all abroad money transfers by a bank is completely locked. and impossible without approval
from the exchange control of the central bank.
