Seeking Experienced Filipino Nanny – Direct Hire

GuestPoster637

Hi everyone,

We are an American family living in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, looking for a dedicated Filipino nanny for a direct-hire position.

While there are many recruitment agencies here, we’ve had bad luck with candidates, especially due to the lack of proper references. Since our children’s safety and well-being are our top priority, we would love to find someone with verifiable references from previous employers.

If anyone here knows a trustworthy and experienced nanny with strong references, we would greatly appreciate your recommendations.

Responsibilities include childcare and light household duties. If you know someone suitable, please reach out to us.

Thank you!

Many women avoid countries where they are second class citizens.  Good luck.

Hello ColombiaRiyad (Jimena). Welcome to the expat.com Philippine forum.

Your expat.com member profile shows you as being Colombian. Is this correct?

While I don't disagree with you. This is an American family. I haven't been to Saudi since the mid 80's. And even then it was just to a port. We couldn't even step off the gangway onto the dock. Now I'm no fan of SA by any stretch, but working for an American family "could" be a possibility, no?

I am tempted to ask my niece if she's interested. She's recently back from working in Qatar. But I also would want to know more, including background on the American family.

I have heard the stories of my Filipina nieces who worked in Muslim countries.  One was jailed For 6 months for having a baby out of wedlock, then deported.  The father did no jail time..

Hello ColombiaRiyad,

Welcome to ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ 😀

To legally hire a babysitter in Saudi Arabia, you must follow specific regulations to ensure compliance. I recommend reviewing the for detailed information on legal requirements and employer responsibilities.

Since it is advised to hire through licensed agencies, have you considered exploring other agencies for additional options?

All the best,

Cheryl
