art (animation and drawing) studies

Mysth

Hello, I am a french art student in first year. I would like to continue to learn animation in Philippines, because I need other references than Europe, and because english is common there. Also, basically music teacher, I could improve my skills and get inspiration.

However, it's really difficult to find a school:

-My bachelor is 3 years, whereas abroad, a lot of university provide 4 years bachelors. I guess that if I reach the third year abroad, It will not be validated in France, right?

-It's hard to find a serious universities that offer 3 years diplomas in my field (2D animation, drawing).

The other option could be: do my 2nd and 3rd year in Philippines, and start to find a work to finish the 4th later. (Maybe teach music?)

My time is limited, because in 2 years, I will have to pay back my loan. That's why It's not easy to find a solution (If there's a solution).

Could you give me some advices? I really searched for hours, and I really would like to study out of Europe.

Thank you!

well if you are looking for the best schools for music and/or for animation you won't find any listed in the Philippines. If you are going for a good paying job as your ultimate goal after college then i would suggest looking elsewhere.

Have you looked at how many filipinos leave the Philippines for jobs? Quite a few. I can't qualify the schools in the Philippines, but i don't believe there are really any or maybe i should say many that will get you set for a good paying job at the end. Sorry, just my $0.02.

But if you are bent on living in the Philippines, go for it.  Just don't be surprised at the end of your education as to what kind of job you can get.

If I were you I would be looking at North America, Australia  and maybe New Zealand, all English speaking countries and if the worst comes to the worst, I am sure you could get a part time job to help pay off your loan.
