Hi there! I just wanted to ask if anyone of you has idea if my bf and I can聽 do the ceremony of the wedding before registering/report our marriage? We are. Planning to get married in nepal end of this year. I am filipina and he is nepalese. Looking forward for your answers... Thank you

Hello! As a Filipina you will only have the option to get a court marriage instead of just registering it like how Nepalese usually do. The court marriage between a foreigner and Nepalese is a lengthy procedure and the paper work can last for months.
You could have the ceremony聽 before or after the court marriage as the ceremony has no impact on your court marriage registration.

You can contact many churches that are located in Kathmandu聽 and set up a wedding ceremony.

When my husband and I got married, they wanted proof of our wedding. We had to provide pictures of our ceremony prior to receiving our marriage certificate.
