How to open a Bank Account in Nepal

Hi to all,

I am a Philippines nationals, working in qatar, I wish to open a Nepali Bank Account, because me and my family are planing to live there for good. Is it possible for me? Any chances for me and how? Any one can help me?

Yes you can open a bank account in nepal even on a tourist visa.聽 All you need is 4 passport size photos - recent - a valid passport and visa.聽 Minimum amount deposit is about 10.000 nrp or $100 - this amount can not be withdrawn unless you close the account.聽 Transfers abroad are not possible due to central bank regulations although international debt cards are just coming out this year.聽 Some banks that are ok for expats are tourism bank, laxmi bank and standard chartered bank.
