Because it is such a small community, everybody knows each other (almost). I think you will make friends without any effort.

Thats so true , I was there for few years , I met so many people in male and become friends easily. but resorts its bit lonely to live for long.

nope , back in sri lanka now, I was there working for IBM and after that for a hotel chain as IT manger travelling here and there it was so fun , I really miss maldives a lot:(
