Hi Kniz,
yes i do know that place. Its just similar to life of people in Ipoh but I have not stayed there so can not tell you much about it. Just had been there in the morning and came back in the evening as i had gone with my friend. Its about 40 kms from Ipoh. If you want would let you know about it asking my friends.

Hey Kniz,

Kampar is an urban area and reside in the jurisdictional territory of Pennag state. its near to george town like 30 to 40 kms as well as from Ipoh. its not as developed as KL or George town. life is fine there less expats mostly indians reside there, though its cheap place tolive and quite as well but being an expat not secured enough to live there alone unless u know some locals there. u can rent a 3 room house in just 700to800Rm thats all wt i knowabt that place.

Kampar is in Perak, not Penang, it's not 30km from Georgetown.

It's just south of Ipoh off of the E1.

Kampar is a suburban area, decent shopping, good coffee houses, fair restaurant selection.? It's not far from Ipoh, a fairly decent-sized Malaysian city that has a large Chinese influence.

It's also near the major North-South Highway making trips to Ipoh, Taiping, KL and Penang fairly easy.
