Hi all, my name is Mehmet

I am Turkish citizen and I married my Indonesian wife 3 years ago in my country.

After 3 years, so now.. we decided to live in Indonesia because we were curious about the change and living standards.

We have a flight in 1 month, I'm thinking of going there with a family visa C317.

But after I go there, I plan to start a business and do business.

I plan to do what is necessary for a work permit and residence permit after I go.

Hello everyone

I am Mayur from India. We (my wife, my daughter, and I) moved to Medan (North Sumatra) last year after the COVID restrictions were lifted. It has been an eventful journey. The people are very nice, friendly, and accommodating.

My interests are playing tennis, swimming, scuba diving, and trekking. If anyone is interested in any of these activities in the North Sumatra region, I am up for it.

I'm yet another Western person with an Indonesian wife. She's quite keen to move us all to Bali, but I'm going through the pros and cons in quite some detail. I'm an inveterate researcher and am gathering up knowledge.

I work at a university in the UK, and my wife is using her contacts to see if I could do some (free) guest lectures in Indonesia (in Indonesian), to test the waters a bit. I've read elsewhere here that I should inform imigrasi about the guest lectures so that they can ignore me. And so on. Hopefully I manage to work things out.

I , along with my wife, plan to move into Jakarta soon and waiting for work permit. Our company is opening a new office there for which licence process is in progress. The company has taken an Indonesian National as " National Sales Manager" already. I will have to support him & also develop other SEA markets by being in Jakarta.

I am 67 years, Degree Mechanical Engineer, having 45 years work experience in Marketing/Sales of Industrial Valves. I enjoy music, football and cricket.

By being expats, my wife & I shall be pleased to meet up with friendly people from all over the world.
