Apostille for Master Degree Certificate

Kania Adisiwi

Hi All,

Have a big problem here... :(

My husband will continue his PhD in Belgium. Previously he took his master degree at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. Univ in Belgium ask for an apostille of his master degree certificate. The problem is... we are now live in Indonesia, and it will be very expensive if he must go to India just only to get his diploma apostilled. There are many agent said that they provide apostille services, but we are too scared to send the diploma to them because we must send the original document... :(

Last but not least problem is... his diploma from the MSU of Baroda is being laminated... sticky laminated which makes it very difficult to be removed. The laminating covers must be removed first... then it can be apostilled ...:(

Does anyone have suggestion?

Best Regard for everybody here

Hello, See lamination is not a problem I had same issue agent did it himself mostly it's safe. Well you can try to go to Indian embassy to do that if not then its better send you doc to some of your Indian a friend instead of sending it to an agent.

Indian embassy of Indonesia is no help at all... :( All they can do is to legalize to the copy of the diploma but can do nothing about the apostille. The University in Belgium said that they cant accept the copy from the Indian Embassy only.

If I may know... what is the agent you used in India? How long did it take until the apostille is finished?

Thanks a bunch

Hi Kania, I would suggest you FedEx it only a known person or friend in Baroda, regards removing lamination its simple just take it apart from the edge since the apostille or attestation as is called locally in India will be done on the back of the certificate, talking from personal experience since I got my certificates done recently and they too were laminated. Good luck & God bless you !
