Is 6000RMB a good salary in Xinjiang

w. mei

I got an offer from Shihezi University in Xinjiang with a monthly salary of 6k RMB and free accommodation. What kind of lifestyle would I be able to afford? I was being told that the living cost there is cheap, but the salary seems a bit too low, isn't it? Anyone has any idea on this?
