Try changing your SMS app to Google's version.

I have absolutely no clue if Smart Indonesia is the same as your Smart, but that worked for me.

Smart is not the problem, I always have problems when a company tries to send an sms, it nearly never works.

Use other means of communication, like Whatsapp or Telegram (both encrypted) or just use email.

You can also ask your bank to send you a spoken sms, in my case that works.

I have a similar problem. I haven't been able to get a network here with my German SIM since September, before that it worked perfectly for a year. I'll write you a PM in german, it's easier .

not being able to receive an SMS that's being used to verify that you are you can be something you shrug your shoulders about and go on, or it can be a rather big issue. Depends on your personal situation.

For me it was worth it to get me an SMS forwarding service, where I host my SIM card in a German data center, and they forward my incoming SMS messages by email to my email address. Costs: € 19,90 monthly.

Expensive, but it solved my issues.
