Hello everyone,

Where is the best place to start when looking for a job in Tunisia? Is it better to job-hunt by directly contacting the company of your interest, or should job-seekers rely on a recruitment agency, for example?

Are there any unique aspects that job-seekers should consider when preparing their CV/r茅sum茅 and cover letter? Should a photo be included?

Do you have any tips on interview conduct in Tunisia? Are there any particulars, such as greetings or behavioural customs?

In you opinion, is knowledge of the local language or a regional language necessary to successfully apply for a job? What level of the language should job-seekers have mastered?

Firstly it is almost impossible for a foreigner to gain employment in Tunisia unless he/she is sponsored by a company here.聽

In order to gain an expat position you should definitely be proficient in Arabic or English.

Finding a job in Tunisia is almost impossible, taking in consideration the effect of revolution and so on. But there're many ways to find a job-offer in the Net and newspaper like the daily La Presse, on sunday it publish a supplement of聽 job-offer.

I am retired now, but 5 years ago when I was considering moving here I was told that I would never be hired to fill a job that a Tunisian can do.

Actually I won't say that unless you are targeting the government , but still have a good chances with the private sector , all depends on your background , your experience and what are you capable of ...

Good morning , I trust all well
To be frank with you the job market here is quite limited but not impossible ,
As an expat try to target MN firms you will have a more opportunity in a same time if you can get in touch with head- hunters or prof recruiters also that will help you a lot , they know the market and they have a good network ,

Local language will be always good to know , at least for your daily habits , but it won't be necessary really however I would strongly recommend to pick the French language , as it will be needed in any domain at work .
