Taxi - urber

SugarBear1

I read that I couldn't find it - what is the app to use when arriving at Tunis International airport for the equivalent of Uber/Bolt????  I will come in a few day in the night and prefer to use this form of transportation, as last time there, I use a regular taxi and when we got to the hotel - he was asking for far more that was seen on the meter - of course he made a stink and we ended up paying it and I want to avoid this again - since Uber etc are set at fix prices.  Thanks for your reply!

In Tunisia the BOLT application was active but operational on a limited territory. A few months ago it was blocked for alleged irregularities.

Now there is no BOLT or UBER or other types.

There is only the trusted taxi driver whose phone number you have

or you can just negotiate the route in advance. For example, a 100km stretch is about 100/120 DT

I have the answer now that I am here - idrive and yassir are two apps that can be download at a fix price like uber - nope - not using a taxi - spoke to a american that was charge 45 dinars to get from the airport to the hotel (the same that I was in )  that far using idrive cost me 10 dinars (this included the tip for the luggage help)  he was happy with that - the fare was around 8 dinars - need a sim - the cost of a sim for a month is about 9 euro and you have to pay in tunisian dinars - it can be purchased at the airport and the cost is the same if you buy one there or at a store - I purchased orange - works fine - as well - if you are staying longer than 30 days - you need to register your phone with sajalni.Tn if you want to make calls or answer sms - if you don't, you will only have access to the internet.
