There are only two real reasons an expatriate would choose to live in Niger: because of his/her work or because a family member/loved one is in Niger. Perhaps there are a handful people who like Francophone Africa, warm Nigeriens, lots of heat and a simple lifestyle, but otherwise Niger's amenities are few.
