Will my car fail inspection due to check engine light?

Will a check engine light showing on the control panel of my 2006 Honda Jazz cause the car to fail its visite technique? The car is in impeccable condition and has always passed with no trouble, except for once when the light bulb on the rear license plate was burned out.

I've taken it to the dealer previously about this warning light, and they said to return if it came back on. That was six months ago and, wouldn't you know it, it reappeared today, just three days before its appointment at the inspection place. I don't have time to take it to the mechanic before the inspection. The current inspection approval expires two days after that.
